Results

Implementation of this project resulted in: - Modern and attractive cross-border (multi destination) tourism itineraries (packages) of S. Dinarides developed and refined, - Improved tourism infrastructure i area (such as handicraft centre, 40 km of new marked walking, biking trails, etc); - At least 40 local, handicraft makers, specialized guides and other providers trained for specific outdoor tourism services; - Tourism providers got direct knowledge and support for serving niche tourism market segments, - S.Dinarides tourism brand will be strengthened by joint authentic cultural and product brands.

SUMMARY

The overall project objectives are: - To implement specific tourism development actions as defined in the Strategy and Action Plan for Eco and Cultural Tourism in Southern Dinarides (developed in the 1st phase of our CBC project); - To refine joint tourism offer, strengthen Southern Dinairdes tourism brand and upgrade local capacity to deliver the brand promise. Specific objectives are: - To develop new and refine existing joint tourism itineraries (packages) and introduce improvements in tourism infrastructure, such as authentic handicraft centres, marked hiking/biking trails, etc - To train local handicraft makers and guides for niche tourism products, such as hiking, biking, bird-watching etc., - To develop a sustainable brands of local products - To upgrade knowledge of sustainable tourism market segments, develop joint Southern Dinarides handicraft brand and introduce other modern marketing and communication tools.
