SUMMARY

The project is part of the 5.2 million EUR worth IPA 2011 grant support to the local economic development in BiH which stimulates growth and jobs creation through the enhanced local partnerships and provision of business infrastructure and services. Specifically, the project aims to improve business environment in the North East Bosnia and Herzegovina through an establishment of a Cluster for development of typical products through the partnership between the local authorities, producers association and service providers (academic community, SMEs, local development organisations). The Cluster will offer a variety of services, including business consulting, joint presence on the market, assistance with introduction of quality standard, creation and implementation of development projects, etc. The promotion and sales would be hosted in “House of Flavours” located in the tourist centre of Tuzla. The Cluster will also develop some innovative service and will incorporate an existing initiative for development of typical products in Herzegovina. Additionally, the project will support business environment for the typical products in the target municipalities, by introducing a new SME financing instrument and the information desks. Infrastructure work includes construction of production and storage facilities in the Business Zones Odzak (cca 400 m2) and Modrica (cca 300 m2) as well as adaptation/equipping of the centre for promotion of typical products in Tuzla.
