Results

1. Improved innovative mechanisms for support to sustainable local economic development and investments in business zones in the target municipalities, including establishment of OSS offices. 2. Improved competitive capacities of 30 export oriented SMEs in 4 selected sectors of BEAR area through implementation of marketing and development plans which are supporting education, product development, branding and certification ( (ISO 22001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, FSC COC,HALAL., OHSAS 18001). 3. Internationalization of SMEs from BEAR area and matchmaking with foreign partners in B2B meeting. 4. Conditions for new employment improved through provision of equipment and tools for the secondary schools in the target municipalities.

SUMMARY

The project is part of the 5.2 million EUR worth IPA 2011 grant support to the local economic development in BiH which stimulates growth and jobs creation through the enhanced local partnerships and provision of business infrastructure and services. Specifically, this project will support business environment in the target municipalities which have obtained Business Friendly Certificate through the complementary GIZ assistance ("BEAR" area). The project will assist establishing one-stop shops with range of services for the export oriented SMEs, such as support to business development and investments. Concretely, some 30 SMEs will be assisted with export support measures and at least 6 SMEs will receive assistance combined with development of busyness plans. The project will also support youth employment through the provision of specialised equipment for the secondary education in the BEAR area competitive sectors, such as mechanics, welding and textile.
