Summary
This overall project objective was achieved through the implementation of industry accepted standards and methodologies of the "Joint EU Harmonized Programme of Business and Consumer Surveys”, through public opinion/research polling and provision of technical assistance to the Directorate for economic planning of BiH Council of Ministers, to improve and strengthen their analytical capabilities, as well as to improve the quality of data needed for implementation of different econometric models.
Results
Implementation of this project will result in: - 8 quarterly business and consumer surveys (in the period September 2018 - September 2020) on representative samples of 1,200 businesses and 1,000 households in each quarterly survey conducted; - Results of the Business Climate and Consumer Index in regular publications of the Directorate for Economic Planning of Council of Ministers of BiH published; - Business companies encouraged to use the indices for economic development forecasts; - Individual report for each participating company after each survey prepared and distributed; - Basis for new econometric models used by the Directorate for Economic Planning of BiH Council of Ministers, in regular economic forecast developed; - The Directorate for Economic Planning of BiH Council of Ministers able to regularly publish comparable data about business and consumer confidence indices within the Joint EU Harmonized Programme of Business and Consumer Surveys, which will be used for econometric analysis and forecasting. Collected data will be comparable with all candidate and EU countries, as well as across different periods.
