IDDEEA together with its government partners [all municipalities and police authorities at all levels in BiH] that deals with security of documents played a crucial role in the visa dialogue, which brought the country to visa free regime in December 2010. P rorgramme objectives were to ensure a more coordinated, systematic and methodological approach in the use of ICT in the public sector and the management of Identification Documents related databases in Bosnia and Herzegovina by providing institutional support to Agency for Identification Documents, Register and Data exchange and to improve in the short term its security, organization, web-publication, operational performance and effectiveness , while supporting in the medium term its institutional anchoring and all to be in accordance with EU Standards. In general aim is to buld an efficient and transparent public administration, oriented to services.

Effectiveness of IDDEEA improved, providing the possibility to review and collect information and enable appropriate usage of e-services as foreseen by Bosnia and Herzegovina laws.
