Results
Established "Virtual centre of the heritage resources"; Developed new heritage tourism brands (in Vinkovc “Orion”- the oldest European calendar, 6000 years BC, and the oldest European settlement, and in Orašje – “Abonos” – the cradle of the European oak (6300 years BC); Cross-border heritage tourism route developed; Strengthened capacities of at least 100 local and regional tourism stakeholders in heritage tourism management by means of training courses: “Innovative Management and Pre-Historical Sites in the Continental Tourism Offer" and “Abonos – dendrochronology in development of tourm"SUMMARY
The project was aimed to develop the common cross border heritage tourism products and the common tourist itineraries (packages), as well as building capacities in the fields of heritage tourism organization, preservation of heritage resources through education, training and know-how transfer, and also, promotion of heritage sites and raising of the awareness about heritage site protection with the use of today’s communication tools.
