Summary
Overall project objectives: 1) To contribute in building vivid and strong civil society, recognized as reliable partner to local governments (LGs) and influential actor in achieving social inclusion and fulfilling rights of women and youth in decision making processes; 2) To contribute to inclusion of all community members in public life on local level. The specific objective is to ensure effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability of Community Driven Development (CDD) Network’s and its members’ efforts in partnering with LGs on increasing inclusion of women and youth and other traditionally excluded community members in work of local community councils (LCCs) in BiH
Results
Community Driven Development (CDD) Network institutionally strengthened as a source of know-how in the area of CDD and acts as a platform for cooperation, sharing experiences and promotion of inclusion of women, youth and other traditionally excluded groups in LCCs: 10 CDD Network members institutionally and programmatically strengthened and 5 of them established as resource centres that provide consultancy to local governments and LCCs on participative and inclusive practice in local development. Raised awareness of 10 LGs about importance of development inclusive LCCs, and 5 of them improved policies regarding the partnership with CSO in providing support to LCCs and inclusion of women and youth in its’ work; 50 LCCs from 10 target municipalities trained in applying CDD approach in their work and adopted inclusive policies and/or practices
