Results

Implementation of this project resulted in: - Improvement of the medical equipment with the aim of ensuring diagnostics and treatment for the people who are affected by deseases of the GIT before all high-risk emergency cases - Intensified competence of the medical staff in diagnostics and taking care of the emergency cases - Training programme for raising consciousness among the families of the cancer affected people about the importance of giving support - Qualitative practice in the cross border cooperation (EU practice, the new adopted practice).

SUMMARY

The project aimed to contribute to improving diagnostic quality and medical care in Foca and Bijelo Polje hospitals. More specifically, the project built the capacity in hospitals in Foca and Bijelo Polje, with the long-term aim of reducing mortality of gastro cancer patients, enabling the family members for giving support and care to the affected ones and the desease prevention.
