Results

1.Prepared studies for valorization of AONVs and management tools development for these areas; 2.Trained AONV managers on topics related to sound management of natural resources and sustainable (eco) tourism; 3.Educated and connected local producers and tourist organisations and developed alternative economic activities in accordance with proposed regimes in AONVs; 4.Managers of AONVs, local producers and tourist organizations gained experience through exchange of know-how; 5.Raised awareness of wider population on benefits of AONVs

SUMMARY

This project is designed to contribute to the development of nature-based tourism by improving capacity building management authorities of areas of outstanding natural value (AONVs), tourism organisations and local communities. The aim is the preservation of natural values while, at the same time, obtaining economic and social benefits.
