Summary
Sarajevo Water Project is financed through EBRD loan of 25 million EUR aiming to improve water supply services in Capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina for more than 300.000 inhabitants. Investment program includes reconstruction of water supply network in selected priority areas within the water supply system through replacement of main pipelines, rehabilitation of pumping stations and installation of measuring equipment. IPA 2020 will co-finance implementation of Sarajevo Water Project on reconstruction of water supply network in selected municipalities in Sarajevo Canton with the amount of Euro 4.0 million grant funds. The proposed activity contributes to improvement of the current living conditions of inhabitants in Sarajevo Canton and is fully in line with the strategic framework of the Water Management Sector in FBiH. It will contribute to the implementation of the respective EU Water Directives and should also result with reduction of non-revenue water in the whole system for about 10-15 %.
Results
Improved water infrastructure and modernisation of wells in water sources Bačevo, Sokolovići and Stup and pumping stations in Hrasno, Igman, Hrasnica, Novi Pofalići and Podhrastovi in Canton Sarajevo.
