Summary
This project will focus on building the capacity of BiH institutions responsible for protecting and enforcing IPR through improving cooperation among these institutions, amending the legislation relating to IP and its further alignment with EU acquis, as well as awareness raising on IPR for wider public.
Results
Implementation of this techical assistance will result in: - Increased level of alignment of IP legislation with the EU Acquis - Capacity of BiH institutions responsible for the protection and enforcement of IP rights is strengthened. - Increased level of public awareness of IP importance. - Contribution to the effective enforcement of IP rights as a vital component of promoting and encouraging the development of a market-oriented economy, and of fulfilling BiH's international obligations as a requirement for EU integration processes. - Facilitation of greater understanding of the benefits of the IPR protection as a powerful tool for the transformation of creativity results into capital and reputation; - The strengthened system for IPR protection encourages final users to work on innovative practices thus contributing to the economic growth and social and cultural development of BiH. - The project creates benefits for the final users as the protection of the IPR will foster conditions for their creative and economic activity.
