Summary
The overall objective of the project is to support the development of integrated flood risk management in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in line with the European Union Floods Directive and in coordination with the Water Framework Directive.
Results
Implementation of this project will result in: - Assessment of the legal, institutional, financial arrangements of the water sector, particularly related to flood protection and status of the previously finalised activities. - Background documents and Flood Risk Management Plans are well elaborated, developed and adjusted to the public participation results. - Water information system in BiH updated to support implementation and reporting of the Flood Risk Management Plans. - Capacities of the relevant institutions at the state, entity and BD level strengthened and exit strategy developed.
