Summary
The purpose of this project is to meet the objectives set in the National War Crime Strategy-processing the most complex war crime cases within 7 years and all other war crime cases within 15. Therefore, it is necessary to enhance the capacities of the prosecutor's offices and the courts to speed up the processing of war crime cases. Namely, prosecutor's offices need to be provided with the financial means to engage prosecutors and additional staff to support prosecutors in handling investigations and in representing the indictments before the courts. This includes both administrative as well as professional staff. In addition, funds for material costs of investigati ons in prosecutor's offices and war crime cases proceedings in courts need to be provided to the beneficiary institutions.
