Summary
Within this project, a needs assessment will be conducted for minimum 80 primary schools and 5 faculties of sport in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Necessary technical documentation needed for effective renovation and modernisation of 40 selected schools and faculties’ gyms will be prepared, as well as tender dossier for works and supply, and Terms of reference for supervision of construction.
Results
Implementation of this project will result in: - During programming activities of IPA funds, BiH education and sport authorities have identified as a priority investment in school infrastructure in relation to sport in order to foster positive social development. However, in order to effectively target EU assistance there is a need to select and assess the needs of the primary schools and relevant faculties of sport in terms of existing infrastructure and in terms of equipment required. - Based on the needs assessment of the targeted schools and faculties, 40 schools/faculties will be selected for further preparation of the technical documentation addressing renovation and modernisation of gyms with the aim to provide timely advice and assistance to the Contracting Authority in the preparation of works up to 2.5 million EUR as well as required supervision services.
