Summary
The overall objective of the project is acceleration of activities on safety improvement on priority sections on the Core and the SEETO Comprehensive Network. The purpose of this contract is to contribute to reduction, preferably elimination of the spots creating a high-risk of accidents on the road network in BiH, including collisions with railway network. This assignment foresees drafting of the terms of references (ToR) that would guide a comprehensive study on removal/elimination of "black spots" on the road network in BiH
Results
Implementation of this project resulted in: - Drafting of the Terms of References (ToR) that would guide a comprehensive study on removal/elimination of "black spots" on the road network in BiH. - Delivered Terms of References for the assignment aiming to result with: a) A list of "black spots"/high risk accident points, including all railway track crossings on the trunk roads and regional roads networks in BiH (local road network shall not be considered within this assignment), b) Electronic database / cadastre arising from the above list, containing systematically organised characteristic of such black spots and activities / progress in their elimination, c) Conceptual and main design for elimination of such spots, d) Studies required for elimination of 'black spots', e) Other issues, as may be addressed.
