Summary
This project will enhance the effectiveness, integrity and professionalism in the Rule of Law sector and improve cooperation between law enforcement agencies an d the prosecution service to foster efficiency of investigations in organised cr ime and corruption cases. The project will also strengthen capacities as regards human resources and performance management as well as disciplinary frameworks and proceedings.
Results
Implementation of this project resulted in: - Strengthened supervision and control in prosecutors' offices - Strengthened capacities, resources and the independence of the Office of the Disciplinar y Council (ODC) - Joint trainings in an interdisciplinary fashion to better respond to organised crime, corruption and the most common forms of commercial crimes (privatisation of companies, tax evasion, tax fraud) - Improved current practice and results in forfeiting criminal assets - Tracking mechanism im proving mutual access to criminal case files by law enforcement agencies, prosec utors' offices and courts.
